Wilson came to San Jose State from Alta Loma (Calif.) High School (Coach Tom Mitchell). The two-time all-league performer was credited with 60 tackles, intercepted four passes and returned two for touchdowns in his 2000 senior season. On offense that same year, he rushed for 843 yards on 104 carries and scored six touchdowns, and caught 16 passes for 432 yards and six more touchdowns.
His older brother, Reginald Wilson, is a rap musician, who released a CD titled, "Empire Strikes Back." Eric was born in Long Beach, Calif., on September 27, 1983.
