NFL roster madness explained
Daniel Hardy
positives
Good initial quickness to get off the line of scrimmage when not covered up. Accelerates quickly and has enough top-end speed to challenge the defender laterally or down the seam. Quick feet and good balance as a route-runner. Good body control to adjust to the poorly thrown pass. Can pluck the ball from outside of his frame. Strong hands to maintain control of the pass despite taking a big hit.
negatives
Struggles with physicality. Relies on dipping his shoulder and eluding the jam at the line of scrimmage. Is too easily knocked off balance at the line, ruining the timing with the quarterback. Offers little in terms of blocking. Provides good effort, but simply lacks the size and strength necessary to compete as an inline blocker and can get rag-dolled by defenders.
2010: Missed the final five games with a broken arm.
First-team all-conference selection in football, basketball and soccer
